Hello everyone,

Version 1.1.0 of Abstraction Layer Essentials is now available on GitHub.
Abstraction Layer Essentials holds the OS- and hardware-independent C sources that every VEE Port needs: the VEE startup function, the logger, the error helpers, the memory pool and the default standard output.

This version keeps source compatibility with 1.0.1. It adds:

  • Support as a Zephyr module: fetch it with west and configure it with Kconfig options.
  • Thread safety: map VEEPORT_ENTER_CRITICAL and VEEPORT_EXIT_CRITICAL onto a mutex of your OS to use the logger and the error helpers from several threads.
  • Logger integration: a VEE Port can map the logger macros onto the logging subsystem of its OS, such as Zephyr logging.
  • Fixes in the logger, the memory pool, the error helpers and the buffer declaration macro.
